MATERIALS : Structure : In 2017, during a storm on the Portuguese central coast, the wind knocked several trees down. One of the trees was an Australian Red Acacia from the Fabaceae family, considered an invasive species, but with a beautiful, dense, red-toned wood. The wood was collected and left to dry naturally over the next 8 years. Today, in 2025, it will be used as raw material to build the CADEIRO</span>. Assuming that the tree was 80 years old, adding 8 years of drying, we can say that the beginnings of the <span class=”notranslate”>CADEIRA</span> and <span class=”notranslate”>CADEIRO date back to 1937. So, the feeling towards such noble raw material can only be expressed through respect and gratitude.
